STRAIGHT STAIRLIFT

A straight stairlift takes its name from the straight stairlift rail which it runs on. Because the rail is straight, it can only be installed on a straight flight of stairs, with no turns, bends or curves between the top and the bottom. Because it uses a mass-produced straight rail which only needs cutting to the right length, a straight stairlift is the easiest to fit and the most affordable type. The Acorn 130 Straight Stairlift is the direct descendent of its original ‘Superglide’ model, continually improved and refined over almost three decades.

A STRAIGHTFORWARD SOLUTION

The Acorn 130 is the ultimate straightforward solution for straight staircases with no bends, turns or curves. It uses an attractive and discreet single rail made using light but very strong extruded aluminium. The rail is fixed to the stairs, not the wall, so there’s no need for disruptive and messy structural work. In most cases, you won’t even need to lift the stairs carpet. The stairlift carriage is designed to be compact and unobtrusive, making the Acorn 130 ideal for narrower staircases. Installation is usually completed in around an hour.

The Acorn 130 Straight Stairlift carriage is one of the most compact available, making it ideal for narrow staircases. The maximum carrying capacity is 300lbs (19.9st), but a heavy duty version is available with an uprated capacity of 350lbs (25st).
